So, this time we’ve been quiet not just because we’ve been crazy busy, but because our little MacBook Pro met an unhappy end with a glass of water, possibly (although un-witnessed by anyone else) at the hands of The Small One. Fact remains, witness or no witness, TSO was watching Thomas one minute, slapping feet in puddle of water dripping out of MBP the next. Heart in mouth moment. TSO and MBP are now mercifully fixed (a massive thank you to Dan who facilitated this!).
Anyhoo… this has meant we’ve been operating from the iPad for a week or so. Urgh. You don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone. So the blog had to take a back seat whilst we traversed the WWW with ‘swish finger’. Not ideal for work, not ideal for blogging.
So here, at last, a quick blog post. A brief snapshot into today at SGH.
We started with some research for a new scheme. We like to look at all aspects of a space, and today we were looking at art for a new scheme we’re working on.

Then called in to see the wonderful Ms S, friend and photographer (amongst other things) to talk sofas, kitchen layouts and extensions. And we managed to finally, in the quickest visit ever, see the beautiful Mrs B and her equally beautiful baby. Massive congrats Mrs B. x
Back to SGH, where the lovely, lovely Mrs S brought us this gorgeous Sun Flower, to say ‘Happy New Kitchen’. Now isn’t that nice?

Then more research, scheming and admin., before finally managing to take some photos of the Nursery. Completed at the same time as the kitchen, but never, ever as tidy (have to admit, it will probably never happen again!).
Here’s a sneak peak, as we still have to do a proper blog post and add the pics to the portfolio.

Then we bob across GCA to Mrs C. with TSO and TLO in tow. This is the stuff from which memories are made. In the sunshine, jumping up and down on the trampoline, TLO gurgling with delight, while TSO bombs around chasing little F, his comrade in arms.
And finally, proof that a change is as good as a rest. You may remember seeing this mirror in the old SGH sitting room. Originally bought for the bedroom, but once home, and lying against the old Chesterfield whilst waiting to go upstairs, we fell in love with the soft gold against the aged olive of the sofa. So it stayed put. It didn’t make it upstairs until 7 years later, when the sitting room (which is looking really rather sad, more on this later) takes a hit, and the mirror gets moved upstairs to it’s rightful place. And actually, we really rather like it. Should have done this years ago. It makes us very happy every time we see it in it’s new home.

Happy, sunny weekend!
