We can’t lie, we’ve just returned from a fantastic week in the South of France. Just down from Monpellier, a little resort, just on the beach. Perfect for small ones – water-slides, pools, fountains, water-falls, and a great playground. Holidays aren’t what they used to be, but somehow makes them more fun. There’s definitely more neon involved now, and plastic, but we did manage to sneak in a visit to the wonderfully beautiful Carcasscon (apparently the inspiration for Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Palace) under the guise of visiting ‘Mike the Knight’. Disappointment at not finding said Knight, or even a Dragon was palpable. Must remember not to tell fibs to children again. It resulted in some 14th Century architecture been whacked with a plastic sword. Architecture, sword and child survived so all was good.
As ever we found a gorgeous shop to buy unnecessary things in – this one though, was particularly lovely, Graine de Pastel.

Also managed a visit to this gorgeous restaurant, on the beach just outside of Sete.
Happy Tuesday!
